  • What is pet mediation?
Pet mediation is a process where a neutral person helps resolve conflicts between individuals or parties about pet-related issues by assisting them in finding a solution that is agreed upon by all. The mediator helps the parties understand the problem, find solutions, and communicate better. The goal is to reach an agreement that considers everyone's needs and the well-being of the pet. Pet mediation is optional and all parties must agree to participate. It's a peaceful and cooperative way of resolving pet-related disputes with the help of a trained mediator.
  • What are the benefits of pet mediation?
Pet mediation is a collaborative, fast, and cost effective way to resolve disputes relating to your pets. In mediation, decisions are never imposed on you like they would be in court. Instead, you make the decisions together with the help of the mediator. Additionally, Canadian courts have made it clear that they do not want to hear pet custody conflicts. They see pets as property rather than family. In some cases, they have decided that the pet must be sold and the money from the sale split. Pets should not be treated like a car, but that's how they are seen in court. At Pet Mediation Canada, we know that your pet is your family member and we keep their well-being at the centre of everything we do.
